Rosie Eller Spry Brown, 91 of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2011. Rosie was born on April 24, 1920 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Thomas Arthur Spry and Julie Ellen Carter Spry. She attended Churchland and East Spencer School, she worked for Cartex and Rowan Mills, and provided in home care for patients until she was 80 years old. Rosie is a member of Christiana Lutheran Church in Granite Quarry.
In addition to her parents Rosie is preceded in death by her husband William Nathan Franklin Brown, 4 half sisters and 1 half brother.
Survivors: Rosie is survived by sons, Roy Nathan Brown and wife Betty of Salisbury, Barry Thomas Brown and girlfriend Joyce Geringer of China Grove, Christopher George Brown of Salisbury, and Timothy Michael Brown and girlfriend Jennifer Sailor. Daughters, Geraldine Elliott and husband Henry of Salisbury and Tamera Rose Miller and boyfriend Mark McCallister of Monroe. Sisters, Dot Gobbel, Pauline Shupping, Violet Simmerson and Eunice Price. 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Service: There will be a graveside service at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Tuesday January 3rd at 1:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Harold Jordan, Hospice Chaplain.

I am so sorry about Aunt Rosie. My grandfather was Bud Spry.She was always good to me. I rember going to the old family home in Davie county. That is when we got to see everyone. My mother Delores Spry Solomon would love to see all of her family. Aunt Rosie Love all of us. She will be missed. God be with all of you and take care of you at this time. I know I can’t come to her servicebeecause I am sick. But I just would like to tell you how great and wonderful person she was. Love always Teresa.
