Lillian Margol Dakin, 94, of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living of Kannapolis. Lillian was born on November 26, 1917 in Chicago, daughter of the late Blanche Amelia Soderquist.

Lillian was a graduate of Senn High School in Chicago and educated herself in art and world travel. She retired from Marshall Fields, where she was a buyer of fine glass wear. Lillian enjoyed art, painting, and teaching painting in her spare time.

Survivors: Lillian is survived by her daughter, Lani Temple and husband Robert of Kannapolis. Brother; Ronald Gibson and wife Delores, grandchildren; Barbara Messick and husband Michael, Robert Temple IV and wife Suzanne, great grandchildren; Robert Michael Messick, Katherine Lynn Messick, and Natalie Morgan Temple. Nieces; Gena, Lisa, Dana and their families.
