Mr. Ronnie Baxter Clay Jr., 44, of Concord, passed away on June 29, 2012 at his home. Mr. Clay is the son of Mr. Ronnie Baxter Clay Sr. and wife Patsy. Ronnie was educated in the Cabarrus county schools and graduated from Concord High School in 1986. He was a member of The Revolution Church in Salisbury, a lifetime member of the NRA, a certified Taxidermist, and a lifetime NC sportsman member. Mr. Clay Jr. was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Clay Jr. was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Simpson, of Concord NC.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is survived by his wife; Lucy George Clay, Daughter; Jennifer George, Sister; Tina Hatley and husband Allan of Concord NC, Brother; Marion Goodson III and wife Deana of Mt. Pleasant NC, Grandson; Matthew McGregor, Brother-in-Law; Michael Kontur, Sister-in-Law, Lorrine Flannigan, 2 Nieces; Ashley Zimmerle and Megan Goodson of Concord NC, 1 Nephew; Jeremy Green of Kannapolis NC, and 1 Great-Niece; Savannah Zimmerle of Concord NC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 12:00 PM at New Hope Independent Free Will Baptist Church, 555 Neisler Rd., Concord, NC 28025. The service will be conducted by Pastor Roger Bostic of New Hope Independent Free Will Baptist Church and Pastor Keith Kannenberg of The Revolution Church.

Ronnie loved my brother, Jerry. And Jerry loved him. We thought so much of Ronnie. He was so good to Jerry when he was sick and stood by him..so sorry others didn’t. RIP Ronnie and Jerry are finally together forever in Peace! Love to you both!
