James Matthew “Matt” Gibson, 31, of Concord, passed away October 10, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born November 14, 1980 in Kettering, Ohio the son of Deena Dickens and James Jeffery Gibson. Matt attended Rock Hill school and was a former employee of Carolina Prepress and Daymark Crisis Center. Matt had a passion for music and especially enjoyed playing the drums.

Matt is preceded in death by his grandparents; James and Naomi Gibson and a grandfather, Harold McKittrick.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gibson is survived by his, step-father; Steve Dickens, step-mother; Angie Gibson, brother; Justin Gibson and wife Amy, grandmother; Edith McKittrick, uncle; Wayne McKittrick and wife Suprenia, and aunt; Jill Kurvis.

A memorial service will be held Sunday October 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Glorieta Baptist Church in Concord, NC.
