Mrs. Rachel Carolyn ”Mrs. G & E Sales” Everhart, 71, of Lexington passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the Hinkle Hospice House surrounded by family. Mrs. Everhart was born in Davidson County a daughter of the late Ed and Rosa Padgett Stanford.
Mrs. Everhart attended Davis Townsend Elementary School, was a graduate of Central Davidson High School and received an Associated Degree in Accounting from Davidson Community College. She was Co–Owner of G & E Sales for 27 years. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, a member of the Amvets Auxiliary Post 13 Lexington, and was a charter member of the Lexington Moose Auxiliary. Rachel enjoyed birdwatching, crossword puzzles, Yahtzee and being with family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kaye Everhart and four siblings, Tommy Stanford, Millard Stanford, Helen Stamey and Velma Winn,
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Johnny ”June” Everhart, Jr.; son, Johnny V. Everhart, III and wife Angie of Lexington; daughter, Beverly Everhart Todd and husband, Steveof Lexington; brother, Harold Stanford and wife Judith of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Joyce Owens and husband Bob of Lexington, and Margaret Egelnick of Lexington; three grandchildren, Lindsey Thompson Lyon and husband Gregg, Anthony Everhart, and Jacob Everhart.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the residence (218 Beckner Road, Lexington).
Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
The Everhart Family would like to say a special thanks to Hospice for the care given Momma and Family.
