Mr. Charles “Chuck” Edward Lanier, Jr. 53, of Lexington passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Chuck was born on May 24, 1959 in Biloxi, Mississippi a son of Charles E. Lanier, Sr. and Nancy Leonard Lanier of Lexington, NC.
Chuck was a 1977 graduate of West Davidson High School and had worked for PPG before becoming disabled due to diabetes.
In addition to his parents Chuck is survived by his son, Tyler Gage Lanier of 45 Hart Road, Hollister, NC 27844; brother, Michael Lanier and wife, Dee Dee, of Lexington,; sisters, Cathy Jarvis and husband, David, of Lexington and Debbie Gray and husband, Stephen, of Glen Rose, Texas and special friend and caregiver, Susan Epley of Lexington.
The Lanier family will see family and friends at Chuck’s parents home.
No Services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. or to his son, Tyler Gage Lanier, 19, of 45 Hart Road, Hollister, NC 27844.

We were so sorry to hear about Chuck. I recall very well when he came with you to make repairs. Always such a friendly young man…had the nicest smile. Did not know he had diabetes such a damnable disease.
