Rodney James Miller, 65, of Salisbury, passed away on March 17, 2013 at Rowan Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Miller was born on July 21, 1947 in Montreal Canada. Rodney James Miller was a 10 year veteran of the U.S. Navy as a Signalman on the Admiral’s Ship USS Oklahoma City CLG-5.
Mr. Miller retired from WS Tyler, where he was a United Steel Worker for 15 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with his animals, dancing, music, and had a passion for reading books. Most of all however, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family whenever he could.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller is preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Miller, and a sister, Valerie Kribbs.
Rodney James Miller is survived by his former wife, Kumiko Miller of Gainesville, FL, a daugher, Christine Miller of Rockwell, NC, a brother, Darrell Miller “Dad” of Ontario Canada, three grandchildren, Leigha Bennet, Jaydin Miller, and Avery Miller, and extended family, Gary and Doris Kluttz of Rockwell, NC.
