Marjorie Smith Robinson, 71, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Robinson was born on September 18, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC a daughter of the late Marjorie White Smith and Turner McDonald Smith, Sr..
A 1959 graduate of T. L. Hanna Girls High School in Anderson, SC, Marjorie also graduated from Forrest College in Anderson. She was an Administrative Assistant with Belk Store Services in Charlotte before retiring in March of 2006. Marjorie loved being a Grand Mother, gardening and traveling, but being a Grand Mother was the best.
In addition to her parents she preceded in death by a son, Scott Charles Robinson and a brother, Turner McDonald Smith, Jr.
Survivors include husband, Charles C. Robinson who she married on February 22, 1964, daughter, Michele Robinson Foster and husband, Tony, of Kannapolis and three grandchildren, Aliya, Brenna and Corin.
Marjorie’s wishes were to have a Celebration of Life, her Celebration will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2013, at her residence.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital For Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Rowan Hospice and Palliative care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
