Such happy memories fill my mind with memories of family gatherings and visits with Uncle Doc. He had a way about him that made every occasion seem so special and fun! Although, distance did not permit me to see him as much as I would have liked, I always treasured the times that we would get to see each other. I stayed with Aunt Pat and Uncle Doc for a couple of weeks back in the mid 80’s and they truly made me feel so welcome. I send much love and prayers to Aunt Pat, my cousins Terri and Dana, and the rest of their loving family.

I was very sorry to hear this news. Doc and I were first cousins and we played together many days at my grandfather’s house when he visited there and it is tragic that he has left so soon.

Doc ( Mayor of West 21st. Street) is what we called Mr. Howell. Doc was always helpful and would do anything he could for you. He welcomed me and family to the neighborhood about 12 years ago. He always let my son play baseball or whatever on his land. Doc is going to be missed greatly but we know he is in a better place and we will see him again one day in Heaven. Therefore my family and I send or deepest condolences and prayers during this difficult time.

We were very sorry to hear of Cousin Doc’s passing. I did not get to see him as often as I would like but always had fond thoughts of him.
