Mrs. Ruth Naomi Bost Calloway, 87, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Autumn Care of Salisbury. She was born on February 5, 1926 in Rowan County to the late Wade S. Bost and Addie Lineberry Bost.

Mrs. Calloway attended Rowan County Schools and was a homemaker. She attended Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church in Reeds, NC. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Calloway; son, Billy Hand; daughter, Kay Holdren and graeat grandson Nathon Burns.

Mrs. Calloway is survived by her son, David Hand and wife Rita of Rockwell; daughters, Julia Koontz and husband Gray of Churchland, and Gwen Hastings and husband Jimmy of Statesville; sisters, Frances Haney of Salisbury, and Jean Earnhardt of Salisbury; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
