Eugenia “Jean” Jones Garvin Kraft, 81, of Salisbury, NC passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center surrounded by family. Mrs. Kraft was born on April 26, 1932 in LaFayette, AL to the late Charlie Denson Jones and Thelma Lentz Jones.

Mrs. Kraft was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Faith, NC as well as a member of the Vera Cook Sunday Class and often helped with the offering at church. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, and was an avid reader. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Doug Garvin who passed away on September 17, 2011.

Mrs. Kraft is survived by two sons; Joe Garvin and Ron Garvin both of Salisbury; a daughter, Cathy Garvin of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Wayne Jones and wife Phyllis of Faith, NC, and Dwight Jones and wife Martha of Skippers, VA; two sisters, Grace Anderson of Salisbury, NC, and Charlene Shoemaker and husband Stamey of Faith, NC; grandchildren, Megan Garvin and husband Eduardo of St. Louis, MO, and Madison Garvin and husband Brad of Charlotte, NC; as well as a close friend, Buck Kraft.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church in Faith, NC with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church conducted by Pastor Joe Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church at P.O.Box 84, Faith NC, 28041.
