A few years back Steve blessed every one of our Bible School students here in Brazil with a pair of excellent quality work gloves. Part of their daily duties was clearing jungle with machetes and Steve saw a need that he could fill. The students had never seen gloves like those before! How much we were blessed by his kindness and generosity. From Brazil, we send our condolences to the family and lift you up in prayer. A vocês, graça e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai (Grace and peace to you from God our Father).

My freshman high school year Steve Deegan explained to his senior classmates that in a mere seven years those large 14 year old boys will be even larger 21 yr. old, angry men who will quite possibly beat them senseless at every opportunity. The hazing stopped immediately. Sunrise today didn’t seem as bright. Then I read the obituary and figured out why. The world will miss his wisdom and kindness.
