Mr. Terry Lonzo “Bang” Barringer, 51, of Salisbury passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011.

Terry was born on April 12, 1959 in Stanly County a son of the late Melvin Lonzo and Sara Drye Barringer. He was educated in the Rowan County Schools and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Terry was the owner and operator of Piedmont Auto Towing and a member of the National Rifleman’s Association.

Terry was the caregiver for his deceased sister, Dora Lee London and parents, Melvin Barringer and Sara Barringer.

Survivors include brothers Melvin Leanas Barringer and wife, Nancy, of Gold Hill, Bernie “Buddy” Barringer and wife, Mary, of Rockwell; sister Joyce “JJ” Barringer Lindsay of Salisbury; nephews Stephen Wayne London, Ronnie Hamrick, Jr., Dallas Barringer, William Barringer, Ray Barringer, Josh Barringer and Robert Barringer and nieces Nicky Barringer and Sara Barringer.

Visitation: The family will be receiving guests at his home, 305 Union Heights Blvd., Salisbury on Friday from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rowan Regional Hospice, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury NC 28144.
