Ms. Virgie “Jody” Blankenship Lambert, 67, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at her residence. She was born January 10, 1947 in Buckhannon, WV to the late Bransom and Mary Mullins Blankenship.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Moore and husband, Craig of Statesville; son, Roger Lee Lambert; brother, Rev. Frank Blankenship and wife, Lori; sisters, Theresa Dotson and husband, James, Arbutis Rose and husband, Gary, and Teela Blankenship; and grandson, Craig Moore, Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 21 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Edgewood Baptist Church in Mocksville.

There will be a memorial service at 7:00 PM at Edgewood Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Frank Blankenship.
