Donna Poole (Robbins) McCall says
Mom was from Kannapolis NC. She raised the younger of six children in West Palm Beach, FL. Only to return to NC in the late 70’s, to take care of her Mother Lillian “Gladys” Goforth Brock, brother Bruce McKnight Brown “Jack” and her disabled (due to 5 different car accidents) son John Taylor Poole “Taterbug”. She was 87 yrs old when she passed with Congested Heart Failure and the Physically and Mentally crippling disease of Dementia. I Donna, being the youngest of her four boys and one of her two girls, took care of her the last 10 yrs of her life along with my disabled brother Johnny in my home. I lost them both within 9 mths after my major back surgery in 09 that wouldn’t allow me to be the caregiver they needed until I healed. I miss them daily and I would do it all again if I had the chance. Mom had over 56 grand and great grand children as of June of 2010. Lots more now that would adore her as we all did. She was the kindest, gentlest, lovinest, patient person I’ve ever known. She had a beautiful spirit and I’ve never heard a unkind word spoke of her.
God couldn’t have sent me to a better mother. TYJC ❤️
