Ronald Ezra Roberson, 59, passed peacefully on October 28, 2014 at the Kiser Hospice House with family members by his side. Ron was a private, reserved and thoughtful man, who loved to quietly commune with a fishing pole in hand and the warm sunshine on his face.
Ron did not wish to have a funeral or memorial service. His family asks you to please honor and remember him in your own way. He lived the motto Don’t Give Up…Don’t Ever Give Up! If you would like to honor this memory, tributes can be made to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan Julian Roberson and daughter Ali Roberson; mother Barbara (Bill) Vanhoy; father Ed Roberson; brothers Donnie (MaryAnn) Roberson and Randy Roberson; sister Pam (Bud) Livengood; mother-in-law Bettye Julian; brothers-in-law Don (Brenda) Julian and Joe (Cindy) Julian; sister-in-law Patti (Tony) Porter; and his extended family at Rouzer Motor Parts.

I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of Ron. He was a wonderful person and all of those who were lucky enough to have gone to school with him were indeed very lucky to have known such a wonderful person. Though he was very popular he never was the type of person to let it go to his head. He treated everyone with respect and kindness and made you feel as if you really mattered even if you were a wallflower as I was. I reestablished contact with him many years after graduation through my work and his at Rouzers. He treated me with the same respect then that he always had as well as the kindness I knew him for years ago. He was truly a wonderful person. He was very loved by many and a world with him no longer in it will be a bit less bright. May you as his family find peace as time passes and know he is in a better place and no longer suffering.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing, but there will be NO more pain for him. For that I am thankful. Ron was a lifelong friend of mine. We played Little League Baseball, travel softball for Bringle’s Cowboys & Budwieser, & golf together for many years. He was the most laid back, easy going, competative guy I ever had the pleasure to know. I will remember Ron the way I knew him. We had many great times together & I will miss him. May God Bless you the family in this time of loss. We’ve lost a great person!!!
