James Franklin Bouldin Jr., 53, of Rockwell passed away on Friday October 31, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Bouldin was born on April 7, 1961 in Rowan County to the late James Franklin Bouldin Sr. and Doris Malone Bouldin.

James was of the Baptist faith and worked as an automotive mechanic and could fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars and taking his 1970 Monte Carlo to Car Shows. James loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and his dog Momo.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Karen Cobble Bouldin of Rockwell; two sons, Patrick Martinichio of Mooresville, and Frank Shumaker of Kannapolis; a daughter, Miranda Thompson and husband Derrick of Kannapolis; a brother, Jerry Bouldin; two sisters, Patsy Garcia of Cooleemee, and Sara Kimball and husband Mark of China Grove; and three grandchildren, Cody Martinichio, Jayden Shumaker, and Dalton Thompson.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
