Dianne Nisson Nichols, 67, of Huntersville, NC passed away on Thursday January 29, 2015 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, surrounded by family. Ms. Nichols was born on May 1, 1947 in St. George, Utah to the late Edward Clark Nisson and Mildred Hannig Nisson.
Dianne worked as a Nurse in hospitals and nursing homes throughout her career but really enjoyed the nursing homes and assisted living facilities the most. She had a passion for helping others and it showed in the many relationships she developed with her patients as a nurse. She was a tireless worker, pushing past adversity in order to raise two children as a single mother. She enjoying baking and cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Dianne was an avid reader and always had a novel and a puzzle book in her purse.
She was a active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Huntersville and found great comfort in her faith and the friendships she developed with the church. She loved babysitting her grandchildren every chance she got and enjoyed helping them with whatever they needed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, Emilio Giandeminco.
She is survived by a son, Greg Coffey and wife Jodi of Huntersville; a daughter, Sara Nichols of Oregon; and her grandchildren, Ariana 19 yrs old, Alora 12 yrs old, Keegan 8 yrs old, Aimery 5 yrs old, and Kelton 3 yrs old.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
