Janice Plyler Cox, 67, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Ms. Cox was born on January 12, 1948 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Johnnie W. Plyler and Mary McManus Plyler.

Janice was a christian woman and enjoyed helping others. She received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Horry Georgetown Technical College in Conway, SC and worked as a paralegal in Myrtle Beach, SC for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, knitting, listening to music, bird watching, and cooking and baking for her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Cox; two brothers, George Plyler and John Wayne Plyler; and a sister, Sue Gibson.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen N. Bailey and husband Todd of Calvert City, KY, and Sharon N. Reno and husband Chris of Wickliffe, KY; five brothers, Ray Plyler and wife Irene, Charles Plyler, Tom Plyler all of Rock Hill, SC, Larry Plyler and wife Marsha of McConnells, SC, and Rev. Gene Plyler of Charleston, SC; four sisters, Carolyn Price and husband Joe of Rock Hill, SC, June Marler and husband Bill of Greenville, SC, Ethel McIntosh of Catawba, NC, and Deborah Lemley and husband Lester of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Julie Plyler of Bishopville, SC; a brother-in-law, Coley Gibson of Chester, SC; six grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Caleb, Samantha, Preston, and Dalton; one great grandchild, Tre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
