Laura Lanell Maners Westervelt 56, of High Point passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Laura was born on February 27, 1958 in High Point, a daughter of the late Roddy and Sarah Morrefield Maners.

Laura was a 1976 graduate of High Point Central High School, and had worked at Carolina Thrift. Laura was a member of the High Point American Legion Axillary. She loved to collect jewelry and antiques, and enjoyed traveling. Laura loved her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Maners.

Laura is survived by her sister, Dara Kivett and husband Mike of Trinity; brothers, Mark Maners and wife Amber, and Bill Maners and wife Karen all of High Point. Nieces and nephews, Brian Kivett and wife Jennifer, Jennifer Kivett Hege and husband Brad, Rebecca Manners Smith and husband Blake, Katherine Maners, Madeline Maners and Kelsey Maners. Great nieces and nephews, Hayley and Andrew Kivett, and Jack “Chunk” Hege.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Crossover Community Church 711 Knightdale Ave, High Point NC 27263.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House 202 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292.
