Mary G. Berry 95 of Charlotte passed away on April 16, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville.
Mary was a kind and gracious lady with a beautiful spirit who continued to mentor her family her entire life. She truly loved all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She resided in Morganton for 72 years before retiring and relocating to Charlotte, NC. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Morganton. Born May 31,1919 to Audie & Lela Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Ernest Berry Sr. of Morganton, her son Joseph Ernest Berry Jr. of Kingsport, TN, also 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Anita Barbee and husband Robert, Melissa Nelson, Dakota Nelson and Peyton Deal of Charlotte with whom she made her home. Daughter Donna Berry and husband Tom Aggeles of Charlotte, step-son Bobby Joe Duckworth and wife Ruth of Morganton NC, step-daughter Joe Ann Helton of Taylorsville NC, step-daughter Doris Jean Johnson (deceased). She has (23) grandchildren. George Fetherbay whom she raised, Joe Berry III and wife Windy, Brad Clay and wife Kim, Crystal Ayers and husband Bryan, Shawn Berry and wife Tonya, Shane Deal and partner Melissa Nelson, Shannon Berry and wife Missy, Allison Dingus and husband Travis, Amanda Hartsell and husband Anthony, Megan Barbee, Chris Aggeles, Thomas Aggeles, Will Aggeles, Clay Aggeles, Logan Aggeles, Danny Johnson and wife Brenda , Denise Williams and husband Brad, Doug Johnson and wife Carol, Mickey Cook and wife Joy, Charles Helton and wife Robin , Pam Carlisle and husband Keven, Diana Bear, Teresa Furtado and husband Gary, and Shelia Cook (deceased).She also has 39 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to all the staff at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville for all the wonderful care given to Mary, to Rev. Arthur Canada and Rev. Todd Marlin for the spiritual support provided during this time.
A celebration of her life will be held at her home at 5710 Hucks Rd. Charlotte NC 28269 on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
