Jennie Mae Goode, 78, Salisbury, passed away on Saturday April 25, 2015 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC. Ms. Goode was born on August 20, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Harold Tenney and Jeanette Clarke Tenney.

Jennie was a christian woman and enjoyed working in casinos where she would run the Keno game because she enjoyed talking to people. Her favorite role in life was being a mother and grandmother to children. She enjoyed skiing and boating with her family on Lake Almanor in California where she had a vacation home that they would spend most weekends at.

Jennie was an avid NASCAR fan and attended most of the races at Sonoma Raceway in California, her favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Harry Gant. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed going on cruises with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jennie is preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Goode; a son, Bobby Goode; and a brother, Bob Tenney.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sifford and husband Barry of Salisbury, and Penney McKinney of Reno, CA; a son, Carl Goode of California; a brother, Gene Tenney and wife of Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held in California at a later date.
