Dear Granger Family,
Student to Ms. Christine Granger, I wish to express my sincere condolences on the loss of an granddaughter, niece, cousins and friend. We don’t like to say good- bye to those whom we love. It is right for us to weep, but there is no need for us to despair. Marquita had pain here. She struggle here. Now Marquita has no struggle’s being in the arms of God and her mother. Just remember that she’s with peace in the presence of God. Marquita’s will forever be in your heart and memories. I never met Marquita but just listening to her aunt Christine sharing all the wonderful stories of the two of them I too felt as if I knew Marquita with her wonderful spirit. Deepest sympathy to Ms. Christine and your family.

To the Granger Family,
I was one of Marquita’s coworkers here at Druid Hills Academy. Marquita was a teammate who strived to give her all to her students in exposing the students to her art world. She was truly a talented woman that our students will miss out learning from. I will miss chatting with her at lunch about the day, TV shows and cooking. She will be missed at Druid yet the work she did with the students will stay with them for a lifetime. May God continue to provide your family with peace during this time.

Words can not express the lost we are experiencing since you made your transition. You gave us such wonderful memories to behold. You was our beautiful baby. Our talks & laughs about everything will forever remain in my heart. You worried most about Auntie & Grandma, caring less about your own dilemmas. You was so loving & caring. It’s been rough for all of us to deal with since you left. We shed tears of sorrow, but none of despair; for we shall meet again in the heavens. I promise to help us get through this, & love on Auntie Chris (as you would expect). Three things I know: 1) You loved your family 2) You was a fighter 3) You loved the LORD, most importantly. You WON the fight, cousin! Now, you are resting in the bosom of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! I will miss you baby girl. My love for you extends to eternity.

Dear Chris and Family,
Chris, you and I go back a long, long, way. I know how you dearly loved and cared for Marquita. I am deeply saddened by her passing, however, I know God had a plan for her, and surely a very special place in Heaven. She was with us here such a short time, but think of the impact she made in the lives of so many. I am reminded that “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints”. Psalm 116:15 I am glad I got to see her not long before she moved. May God comfort you and your family and give you peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. While I never met Marquita, I quickly learned how much you adored and cared for her. Anytime you talked about her, your face would light up! Let your memories of Marquita’s life give you comfort. Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
