Karen Lee White, 61 of Faith, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2015. She is survived by two sons, Jason White of Lake Norman, NC, and James “Jimmy” White Jr. and his wife Alexandra and two sons Kyler and Talan of Denver, NC. She is also survived by her sister Mary “Micki” Mahaffey and her husband Winsten Mahaffey of Faith, NC; former husband James A. White Sr. of Ormond Beach, Florida; and granddaughter, Raegan White of Richmond, Virginia.
Karen was born in Fries, Virginia, but lived most of her life in Richmond, Virginia where she met and married James A. White Sr. She worked as an Office Manager in their family insurance business and acquired and maintained her retail and corporate insurance licenses while there. After moving to Faith, NC, Karen worked as an Office Manager for Burns-Fazzi, Brock headquartered in Charlotte, NC.
Her greatest joy in life was raising her two sons and encouraging them in playing baseball, football, bowling and racing. She and her husband and two sons worked tirelessly to bring their sons’ car and truck racing careers from a dream to driving and working in NASCAR. She continued to be a loving and supportive Mother to her sons until the day she passed away.
Karen battled lung cancer throughout the last year of her life with tremendous faith, courage and hope. Her family and friends loved and supported her throughout this difficult journey. While she is not with us in body, she will always be in our hearts and memories.

We are so sorry about the loss of your mom, sister and rest of the family.
Even though we only met few years ago, you will be missed so much. You were a wonderful mother-in-law to my daughter Alexandra. We enjoyed every minute we had together at the races, casino, botanical garden for mother’s day, etc.
We love you very much….
Micki says
