Elizabeth Sue Nixon, 75, of Denver, passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Nixon was born on October 7, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Elsie Lee Raley and Lynna Bruton Raley.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Harding High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, watching good ole western movies and playing with her dog, Lulu.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, a daughter, Tracy Nixon. She is survived by her husband, John Melvin Nixon; a daughter, Kristi Griffith and husband Tim Griffith; a son, Greg Nixon and wife Mary; a brother, Larry Raley and wife Carol; grandchildren, Kodie, Ally, Kaleb, Desmond, Chassity, Christian, Jessica, Ryan, and Stacy; and two great grandchildren, Reid and Ella.

There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Saturday, October 24^th at 11 in Real Life Church – Lucia located at 15434 Lucia Riverbend Hwy Stanley, NC, conducted by Matthew Drew Campus Pastor of Elevation Church Lake Norman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Holy Angels of North Carolina (6600 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012), or to Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville (11900 Vanstorty Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078).
