Marta “Mami” Luisa Garcia, 71, of Concord, peacefully passed away at her home on October 21^st, 2015.

Ms. Garcia was born on July 29^th, 1944 in Havana, Cuba, to the late Bernardo Garcia and Blanca Alonso.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Ana Maria Dos Santos of Concord, NC; a son, Antonio Centurion of Miami, FL; a sister, Alicia De La Vega of Miami, FL; 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lauren Dos Santos, both of Concord, NC; a niece, Marta Piñero of Miami, FL; and a nephew, Nelson Piñero, also of Miami, FL.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 29^th, in the chapel of St. James Catholic Church, located at 139 Manor Ave. SW, in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Koman organization (www.komen.org, P.O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309) or to Hospice & Palliative care of Cabarrus County (5003 Hospice Ln. Kannapolis, NC 28081).
