John Darrell Gresham, 65, of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday January 10, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home in Albemarle. Mr. Gresham was born on December 04, 1950 in Stanly County, NC to the late John Elbert Gresham Jr. and Ida Dukes Gresham.

John was a man of god and worked as a carpenter in the residential construction industry. He enjoyed spending time at the Friendly Mart in Albemarle with his buddies. John also loved his dog and he enjoyed raising his chickens as well.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Gresham.

He is survived by his close friends, Mitsy Burris and husband Allen of Albemarle and their children, Whitley and Sara Burris; a sister, Donna Gresham of Albemarle; and a nephew, John Mitchell Gresham.
