Charles Edward “Charlie” Hauer, Jr. 48, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at his residence. Charlie was born in Natchez, MS on July 19, 1967 son of the late Charles Edward Hauer, Sr. and Karen Sue Sahuli Hauer.

Mr. Hauer was educated in Mississippi and North Carolina, was a carpenter and had also worked with M&M Electric doing electrical work. He enjoyed building things for his grandchildren, automotive work and loved NASCAR Racing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Christopher Hauer.

Survivors include his wife Evon Jeffery Hauer who he married on September 12, 1988; daughters, Toni Nichole Blankenship and Special Friend Ricky J. Heston, Jr. of Bourbon, Indiana, Dezarae Lane and husband Wesley Lane of Salisbury. And Brittany Leanne Hauer of Salisbury; brother Billy Lee Ford of Indiana; sisters, Carolyn Hauer of Florida and Linda DeForrest of Indiana; grandchildren, Olivia Staggs, Nathan Staggs, Grace Blankenship, Gavin Blankenship, Gage Blankenship, Javin Lane, Riley Lane, Katie Lane, Jacob Jordan and Colby Jordan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday May 1, 2018 at the residence conducted by Rev. Tony Parson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Gold Hill.
