Peggy Sue Fine, lived a full life of 84 years. She passed away Friday, April 29th, 2016 at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County in Lexington, NC. She was born October 26, 1931 in Rowan County to the late Edward Moore and Mae “Teenie” Towell Moore.
As a young woman she traveled with her mother Mae and her step-father John Levin mainly in the state of New York and Texas and various other cities that her step-fathers jobs took him to.
She worked at Terry Products in Kannapolis for several years during and after her sons were born and then later as a home-maker. She was also employed at Mallory Battery Company of Lexington for several years along with her husband Bill who was a supervisor. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.
She was preceded in death by (3) husbands, J.C. Brown, Curtis Groff and William (Bill) Fine and one infant son, Timothy Towell Brown.
Those left to cherish her memories are her (3) sons, Chris Challie Brown of Monroe, NC, Joseph Wesley Brown of Shallotte, NC and Michael Shawn Brown and wife Shannon of Lexington, NC. She has (8) grand-children and (14) great-grand children.
There will be a time of visitation and gathering of friends with the family of Peggy at the Journey Church of Lexington (61 Biesecker Rd, Lexington, NC 27295) on Wednesday, May 4th from 6 until 8 pm.
While she was in ICU at Lexington Hospital on April 27th and prior to being transported to the Hinkle House she indicated to her family present and the doctors and nurses that she was ready and not afraid to die. She was very alert, mindful, and brave. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hinkle Hospice House (202 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292).
