Mary Frances Goodman Turner, 75, of Concord passed away at Tucker Hospice House at 8:30 pm on June 17, surrounded by family. Frances was born February 17, 1941 in Rowan County to Addie Mae and the late Arthur Lee Goodman.

She graduated from A.L. Brown High School and was employed at Cannon Mills for more than 30 years. She was an avid fan of drag racing and for many years, she could be found at the Mooresville Drag Strip racing her 1970 Nova SS. She also enjoyed antiquing, loved the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Goodman Lee, and her daughter Frances Elizabeth (Beth) Karriker.

She is survived by her mother, Addie Mae Goodman; her husband of 50 years, Henry Lee Turner; three sons, Joseph C. Sloop and his wife Lisa Deal Sloop, Jeff Turner, and Scott Turner; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23 from 4 to 7 pm at the family home.
