William “Bill” Charles Winkle, 65, of Yadkinville, NC passed away on Sunday June 19, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Winkle was born on on May 18, 1951 in Minnesota to the late Robert Thomas Winkle and Leona Carver Winkle.

Bill spent over 50 years of his life in southern California working as a talented fabricator in the metal fabrication industry. He loved music and was an accomplished guitarist and singer. He along with his brother Thomas were very close but the thing missing in their lives was their sister, Linda.

They were separated from Linda when they were small children, due to a family tragedy. They never saw each other again, they thought she had died, until 35 years later when Linda found both Bill and Tom. Both of them moved to North Carolina to spend their last years reconnecting with their sister and never regretted it. Bill will be missed.

Bill is survived by his brother, Thomas Winkle of Yadkinville, and his sister, Linda Berry and husband Steve of Mocksville.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
