Dr. Charles Edward Adams, Jr. 75, of China Grove, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
He was born on June 24, 1941 to the late Elizabeth Germann Brown and step-father Eugene Brown in New Bern, NC. Charles worked as a Truck Driver for Ryder.
Charles was a member of Sloan Lake Community Church where he served as the Outreach Pastor. He earned two doctorates in Biblical Studies.
Charles is survived by his Wife of over 45 years Ruth Swanner Adams, whom he married May 16, 1971; Daughter, Robin Harrington and husband Mark of China Grove; Son, Mark Adams of MI; Grandson, K.C. Harrington and wife Angela; Three Granddaughters, Amy Deweese and husband James, Amanda Adams, and Ashley Adams; One Great-granddaughter, Arabella; Three Great-grandsons, Avery, Aiddin and Jayden.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Sloan Lake Community Church, China Grove, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016, 4:00 pm at the Sloan Lake Community Church, China Grove, NC, with Rev. Zach Sizemore, Rev. Ronnie Aycock, and Rev. Bill Roberts, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Charles may be made to Sloan Lake Community Church..

I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in the promises at Revelation 21:4 that reads; “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away.” The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life.
