Thomas “Tom” Robert Winkle, 66, of Yadkinville, passed away September 18, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Tom was born to the late Robert Thomas Winkle and Leona Carver Winkle on February, 2, 1950 in Bemidji, Minnesota. He lived most of his life in Pomona, California, but along with his brother Bill, chose to spend the remainder of his life near his sister, Linda Berry and husband Steve, whom he deeply loved, in North Carolina.

He was known for his skilled hands as a metal fabricator and was supervisor of one of the largest container builders in Southern California. After his retirement, he spent much time planting and cultivating in his yard and shooting photographs along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We long for the day when our dear Thomas will walk again in a paradise earth and the scripture at Revelation 21:3,4 will be fulfilled: “No more death, pain and sorrow”.

A memorial service is not scheduled at this time.
