Mae Belle Carroll, 93, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Avante of Concord surrounded by family. She was born on May 30, 1923 to the late Fred and Bessie Taylor Stallings in Stanly County, NC.

Mae worked as a Bookkeeper for Dover Supermarket for most of her career and was of the Baptist Faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, and quilting. Traveling was a passion of hers and the mountains were her favorite place to go. Mae also loved the time she lived in Florida and would sew clothes for her family in her free time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sue Carroll Hobbs; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mae is survived by a son, Richard Carroll of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Judy Carroll (Ronald) Graham of Garland, TX; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (1601 Cooper Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen (P.O.Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265) or to the Alzheimer’s Association (4600 Park Rd. #250, Charlotte, NC 28209).
