Celena Beatrice Franks Barber, 61, passed away November 11, 2016 at 4:04AM at the Brian Center in Statesville, NC.

Celena was born October 1, 1955 in Queens, NY to the late Sam Franks and Deloris Scarver. she was a devoted Jehovah Witness and was known as being very creative, artistic, and intelligent. She loved to sing and dance. Celena was most known for her sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Friends and family never saw her without her lipstick and sunglasses.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter, Vickie Wiltbanks of Statesville, NC; 2 sons, Joey Wiltbanks Sr. of Florida and George Wiltbanks of North Carolina; step-son, Adam Ivory of Colorado; 2 brothers, Danny Franks of New York; and Chafin Franks of Virginia; 4 sisters, Dorothea Cruz of Bronx, NY; Diane Franks of Asheville, NC; Joan Franks of New York; and Delores Franks of New York; 6 grandchildren, Eyanna Wiltbanks, India Wiltbanks, Joy Wiltbanks, Joey Wiltbanks Jr., Anthony Wiltbanks, and Kissiah Redmon; and great-grandson, Ezekiel Wiltbanks.

Celena is preceded in death by her father; ex husband, Theodore Wiltbanks Sr.; son, Theodore Wiltbanks Jr.; brother, Tony Franks; and sister, Lynn Franks.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
