Richard Dwain Myers, 50, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, surrounded by family. He was born on November 7, 1966 in Tampa, Florida to the late Charles Myers and Carolyn Webb Myers.

Richard was of the Baptist Faith and he owned and operated his own residential cleaning business. He enjoyed watching Nascar and Football, and he pulled for Dale Earnhardt and the Miami Dolphins. Richard always had a garden and he loved to spend time with his family and friends and his dog “Baby Girl”.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Cooter” Eugene Rainey, and Billy Ray Rainey.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Dakota Lea Myers of Lexington, NC; two brothers, Donald Myers of Salisbury, and Jeff Myers and wife Sherri of Clayton, NC; a sister, Brenda Kendrick of Gold Hill, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Franklin Baptist Church (3810 US-601, Salisbury, NC 28147) conducted by Pastor Joe Thomas. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. The interment will take place at a later date at Rowan Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House (1229 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144).
