Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Donna Whitebread, of Salisbury, was born January 8th, 1927 and would have been celebrating her 90th birthday next month. What a beautiful and amazing ride in the journey of life. She went in peace on Tuesday, December 6th with her loving son Brad and daughter Stacey by her side.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She will be remembered by many as someone who was always dressed to the 9’s and would not let you in the house if her hair wasn’t fixed properly.
In her spare time, she loved quilting and enjoyed donating them. She also decorated her house with them and many of her quilt racks were full. She enjoyed her 20 plus years living at Myrtle Beach, where had made many close friendships.
Donna always looked forward to her annual trip from Myrtle Beach to Perkins Lane in Richfield Springs, where she had developed many more loving friendships. She enjoyed lots of laughter and lots of happy hours with her husband Harold on the lane and on the lake.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Clarence Cooper and Winona Ackley Cooper, and brother, Vernon Cooper.
Donna is survived by her son, Bradly Goodman of Mohawk, NY and his significant other Dee Dee Ward; daughter, Stacey Nunneker Hardin of Salisbury, NC and husband Steve; grandchildren, Kristy and her husband Joe; Kurt and his fiancé Kiera; Tyler (US Air Force); Brandon (U.S. Army) and his wife Shannon; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Chloe, Gavin, Cole, Ocie Pearl, and Brandon Jr.
Many thanks to Kate and family members for their untiring Peace, Comfort, and Care.
A very special thank you to Bayada Nurses (Theresa and Kaycee) and Hospice of Cabarrus County for their tender loving care and compassion at the end of her journey through life.
In keeping with Donna’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A family gathering will be held to celebrate her life at a later date.
Carolina Cremation has been entrusted to care for Donna. Online condolences may be made to www.carolinacremation.com.
