Susan Irene Stevenson, 56, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday December 17, 2016 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC surrounded by family. Susan was born on February 26, 1960 in Davidson County, NC to the late Cletus Marion and Patricia Hegler Marion.

Susan was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Patient Care Technician at a dialysis center. She loved to work in her flower garden and she loved animals, especially her dog Bugsy. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she enjoyed spending it with her family. She also enjoyed birds.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Henderson and fiance’ Terry Hiatt of Salisbury; a brother, Christopher Marion of Winston-Salem; a sister, Patricia Marion and fiance Todd McFall of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Bailey Henderson and Tanner Hiatt; nieces and nephews, Ashley Taylor Scroggs fiance John Hottel, Aundrea Marion, and Tyler Wood; great nieces, Taylore Jade Everson, Laila Grace Scroggs, Lilly Anne Scroggs, Angelica Lynn Mattern, and Anika Leigh Debarr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28th, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rolling Heights Baptist Church (228 Pineland Ave., Lexington, NC 27295) the family will accept visitors at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

The family will accept visitors or flowers at either Amber Henderson’s home (550 Parks Rd. Salisbury, NC 28146) Or Patricia Marion’s (198 Mock St. Lexington, NC 27295).
