Earl Ron Miller, 94, of Salisbury, went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 30, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on October 18, 1922 in Montcalm, WV to the late Daniel Ron Miller and Lora Belle Lambert Miller. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Earl retired as a Welder/Mechanic from M.A.N Truck and Bus Coporation. He enjoyed working on anything with a motor, watching Nascar, working in his garden, and going on mountain trips.
In addition to his parents and several siblings, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Karen Miller, and Glenda Lugo; a grandson, Alan Bradford; and a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Delgado.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Logene Miller of the home; sons, Danny Miller of Salisbury, and Johnny (Jessica) Miller of Thomasville; daughters, Carol Lloyd (Theron) of Denton, Sharon McDonald (Charles) of Raleigh, Marsha Locklear of Salisbury, and Lorie Miller of Salisbury; eleven grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church (830 Choate Rd., Salisbury, NC) conducted by pastor Darrell Worley and Pastor Terry Cruse . Military Honors will be provided by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard.
