Stevon Sanders Smith, 53, passed away January 12, 2017 in Lexington, NC.

Stevon was born January 2, 1964 in Abbeville, SC. He enjoyed loud music, riding and working on his scooter, and was an avid animal lover. He was known as always wanting to help others and would give anyone the shirt off his back. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Stevon is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Smith; brother Edward Smith; and his beloved dogs, Boy and Harley.

His is survived by his mother, Pauletta Nicholson Hutchens of Linwood, NC; 2 sons, Zaine Smith (Brandy) of Lexington, NC; Shaine Smith of Asheville, NC; daughter, Jaine Smith of Thomasville, NC; brother, Tony Smith of NC; 2 sisters, Sherry Fannin (Jimmy) of Lexington, NC; Lisa Martin (Jeff) of Lexington, NC; 3 grandchildren, Zac Smith, Austin Livengood and Jake Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
