Hazel Louise Trexler Morris, 84, of China Grove passed away on February, 21, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast.
Hazel was born January 23, 1933 to the late Toby Lee Trexler and Beulah Koontz in Rowan County. She attended Southside Church of God and Highest Praise Family Worship Center, both in China Grove, and in her spare time enjoyed watching TV, gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Holder Sr.; a daughter, Belinda Gail; brothers, Wayne Trexler, Bill Trexler, and Dave Trexler; and sisters, Pearl Kluttz, Pauline Wycoff, and Beulah Culpepper.
Hazel is survived by a son, Harold Holder Jr. (Frances) of Landis; daughter, Lana Helms of China Grove; sister, Helen Pearce of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Derek) Tilley of Landis; Lisa (Terry) Deaton of Kannapolis; Hanna (James) Morgan of Kannapolis; Samantha (Bobby) Scott of Salisbury; Timmy Helms Jr. of Kannapolis; Justin Treadway of China Grove; and Shawn Spry of Salisbury. She is also survive by 6 great-grandchildren, Austin Tilley, Kendall Tilley, Logan Deaton, Bentley Scott, Faye-Ann Scott, and Jazmin Morgan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynn Harkey, Judy Treadway, and Kimberly Helms.
There will be a memorial service held at 4pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Southside Church of God (163 3rd Ave. China Grove, NC 28023), conducted by Rev. Joyce Miles and Rev. Michael Oney. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Rowan County (112 W. Innes St. Salisbury, NC 28144), or to Mission House at Southside Church of God (157 Columbus St. China Grove, NC 28023).

So sorry to hear about Aunt Hazel’s death. I remember when I stayed during a summer with her, Lisa, Junie and Uncle Tick. She was such a sweet lady. So much fun. Well now Mama, Pauline, Pearl and Hazel can talk all they want in heaven. They did really enjoy each other. My prayers are with the family at this time. God Bless each of you,
