Ronald (Ron) Carson Webber, 69, of Rockwell, passed away on Saturday February 25, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Webber was born on February 3, 1948 in Gaston County, NC to the late Victor Webber and Ruth Hawkins Webber.

Ron enjoyed gardening, watching Nascar and wrestling, and eating the spiciest food he could find. He was a devoted fan of the UNC Tarheels and Dallas Cowboys. When he was asked how he wanted to be remembered, his answer was, “He was Dad, and he was just Ron C. Webber.”

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a stepfather, Sandy Jackson, brother, Darrell Webber, a daughter, Rhonda Neese, and a companion, Lynda Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Schwartz (Jesse) of Cary; son, Cliff Holt of Swannanoa; son-in-law, Jerry Neese of Gastonia; stepson, Nathan Brown of Rockwell; grandson, Logan McNeely of Boiling Springs; granddaughter, Savannah Neese of Gastonia; granddaughters, Annabelle Schwartz and Mae Schwartz of Cary; step-grandson, Garin Neese of Gastonia; step-grandson, Christian Everhart of Salisbury; step-granddaughter McKayla Everhart of Salisbury.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell, NC (913 W. Main St., Rockwell, NC 28138). conducted by Minister Mitch Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
