Fred Hyams “Rick” Lippard of Albemarle passed away Sunday, April 2, 1017 at Carolina HealthCare System – Northeast in Concord.

Born November 22, 1930 in Iredell County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Fred E. and Sarah T. Lippard and, Doris Carolyn Brown.

He is survived by his two sons, Fred Erick and Lane Locke Lippard their mother, Myra E. Lippard and his two daughters Danyel Christine “Christy” Mehlfelder and Ashley Brook Lippard and their mother Mary R. F. Lippard. One stepson, Gregory S. Fincher and five grandchildren. One brother, Jessie E. “Buddy” Lippard.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He was a Marine and an Eagle Scout and a member of numerous clubs and organizations.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
