Mary Elizabeth Ford, 68, of Kannapolis, passed away on April 5, 2017 at her residence.
Mary was born to the late Johnny Ford and Lizzie Mae Phiffer on March 10, 1949 in Mecklenburg County. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, and in her spare time she enjoyed relaxing on her front porch, long talks on the phone with her sister, cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son, James Ford; daughter, Jeanetta Ford; brother, John Thomas Ford and great-grandchild, Cah’leeh Ford Wade.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ford of Kannapolis; sons, Richard Ford of Concord, and Paul L. Miller (Carla) of Grovetown, GA; brothers, Nathaniel Ford (Cassandra) of Charlotte; Willy Ford (Robin) of Maryland; Todd Ford (Rose) of Virginia; sisters, Mae Frances Forrest of Concord; Mildred Ford of Virginia; Annie Holbrooks of Kannapolis; and Nancy Gill (Alex) of Salisbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren LaKriesha Ford, David Ford, Paul Miller IV, De’quan Ford, Daviayona Ratliff, Astasia Miller, Isaiah Miller, Zyanna Miller and great-grandchildren, Kay’leeh Ford-Wade and Zan’yah Grissom.
The family will receive friends at 2pm on Monday, April 10th, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 204 N. Little Texas Rd. Kannapolis, NC 28083, with a memorial service following, beginning at 3pm.

Aunt Liz last told me “Jean Jean is that you” and I would say yes and then she said “Go Home” Forever in my heart. I want ever forget my aunt’s laughter.
