Naomi Bentley Karriker, 88, of China Grove, went to her Heavenly Home on April 23, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born April 19, 1929 in Henderson, KY to the late Haywood and Girtie Bentley. Naomi was employed at Cannon Mills and Burlington Industries for many years. She became a CNA and worked for many years helping and caring for others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.B. Karriker, second husband, James Ruff and step-mom, Mama Kate Helms Bentley; brothers, Roy Ball, Orbilee Ball, Bobby Bentley, and Charles Bentley.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Dave Karriker (Debbie) and Michael Karriker; daughter, Sarah Lewis (Bobby); grandchildren, Adam Williamson, Eve Myall, Monica Young, Sean Karriker, Jessica Grisham, Krystal Crum and Mickey Karriker; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Bentley (Janelle) and Jim Bentley (Carolyn); sister, Phyllis Gales (David) and 2 sister in laws, Betty K. Bentley and Betty O. Bentley.
A private memorial service will be held at Unity United Methodist Church at a later date, with Pastor David Gales officiating.
A special thank you to all the kind hospice workers from Rowan County, who cared for our mother, and to Carolina Cremation for their help, care, and thoughtfulness in this time of need.
