Valerie Elliott Holshouser, 45, of Lexington, passed away on May 12, 2017 at her residence.

Valerie was born to Michael Curtis Elliott and the late Cynthia Jeanette Beasley on February 14, 1972 in Randolph County. She operated a cleaning service and in her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, making jewelry, photography and reminiscing about old memories. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her four legged sidekick, Charlie, who never left her side, and her family and friends.

In addition to her father, she is survived by daughters, Candice Holshouser of Lexington; Jade Emily Athey of Thomasville; Brooklynne Holshouser of Salisbury; sisters, Melissa Surratt and husband, C.J. of Linwood; Amanda Smith and husband, Jeremy of Lexington; brothers, Andy Elliott of Salisbury; Kevin Elliott of Lexington; grandchildren, Brennan and Grayson Smith, with one on the way; and best friend, Dan Hamrick of Lexington. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Charlie.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
