Aubrey Franklin Walser, 78, of Lexington, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by friends and family.
He was born May 2, 1939 in Davidson, NC to the late John Walser Sr. and Lucille Rummage Walser. Aubrey was a member of Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church and in his spare time enjoyed playing and watching sports, and spending time with his family.
Aubrey is survived by his wife, Priscilla Walser, whom he married May 2, 1959; son, Aubrey Wayne Walser of Lexington; daughter, Crystal Pope of Lexington and fiancé Chad Stanford; sisters, Colleen Curry of Lexington and Dorcas Seaford of Advance; brother-in-laws, Jimmy Kirkus and wife, Alline; Danny Kirkus of Lexington and wife, Carolyn; sister-in-laws, Doncilla Perry of Lexington; Francis Kirkus of Lexington; and Shirley Walser of Lexington; granddaughters, Regan Pope, Rya Pope and Addi Russell.
In addition to his parents, Aubrey was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Lloyd Walser, Jr. and Jackie Walser.
There will be a Memorial service held at 11am on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1 Graceway Dr. Lexington, NC 27295, officiated by Rev. Chris Bitterman. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am – 10:45 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org.
