Sheryl Elaine Sanders, 50, of Gulfport, Florida, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on August 21, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Family and friends will share in a private memorial service at home to honor a caring and loving sister, daughter, mother, and friend who through many struggles gave to others all she had. She was a free spirit and often full of fun and laughter, a loyal true friend, generous of heart, and a good listener. She touched many lives and was so very strong while through many of her life’s trials; showed strength beyond measure. We will miss her dearly but those of us who were with her during her last few days, witnessed the profound love of Jesus as He healed her heart and took her home.
She is survived here by two sisters, Alyssa Sanders and Liz Sanders-Moreno and her husband Manuel Moreno; two brothers, Sonnie Sanders and Richard Sanders and their families; Four nephews, Augustus Raymond Estrada, Steven Michael Sanders, Augustine Manuel Moreno and Max Moreno; Two remarkable and loving friends of 27 years, Bob and Debbie Shelton, who opened their hearts and home to Sheryl for her final days. She is also survived by many other friends and loved ones.
She left a profound impression on the hearts of so many and we will carry her love and testimony on in our hearts forever. We love you Sheryl.
Christie Gracey says
Love you. I wrote you so many letters that were returned. I wanted to be with you and talk before you left this world, but was not given the opportunity. My heart has hope that we will all be together again one day. I pray for the gift from our Lord to hold you in my arms again.
So much love was wasted.
