Barbara Jean Cooper Lang, 81, formally of Elgin, IL, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

She was born October 6, 1935 in Galesburg, IL to the late William Cooper and Frances Banty. Barbara worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading her Bible, playing Candy Crush and Word Connect, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by 6 children, Pamela Wimpelberg (Michael) of Marengo, IL; Penny Rakow (Robert) of Margeno, IL; Michael Lang (Darcey) of Sheffield, IL; Ronald Lang (Barbie) of Newton, IL; William Lang (Victoria) of Rockford, IL; Tammi Nazario (Ivan) of Harrisburg, NC; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-granchildren; and cousin, Wanda Whalen (Donald) of Casper, WY.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldo F. Lang.

The family will have a private memorial service held at a later date.
