Billy Joe Sipes, 85, Salisbury, passed away on Monday November 6, 2017 at the Brightmoor Nursing Home. Mr. Sipes was born on September 13, 1932 in Iredell County to the late Coleman Lawrence Sipes and Addie Eaves Sipes.

Billy retired from the state of North Carolina as a Truck Driver in the Agricultural Department. He enjoyed working on his farm, fishing, and yard work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Evelyn Richardson; his daughter, Vicki Sipes; and two step-children, Randy Queen and Karen Long.

He is survived by his daughter, Delia Sipes Trivette and husband Perry; step-daughters, Penny Lefler and husband Mick of Rockwell, Elaine Potts and husband Bruce of Salisbury, and Tammy Hill and husband Barry of Salisbury; a step-son, Rick Queen and wife Landra of Concord; two brothers, June Sipes, and Leon Sipes; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
